HOME OWNERSHIP is an integrate part of the American Dream, but for an increasing number of American’s, especially our military veterans, the dream of owning a home my never become a reality unless resourceful ways are found to provide truly affordable homes.

From every tragedy of someone losing their home because they lost their job or couldn’t keep up with high mortgage payments that turns into an abandon house burdening taxpaying neighbors which eventually becomes a distressed property bringing blight to the neighborhood, the Urban Renewal Project brings hope for the neighbors and neighborhood and most of all a path to home ownership.

Whereas I’m purposing collaborative efforts among nonprofit and community organizations; government officials and agencies, and local businesses and owners, to remodel abandoned, distressed properties into the much needed supply of affordable, permanent, housing in the Chicago vicinity.

The Urban Renewal Project’s path does more than help make the American Dream possible; I believe each renovated home will aid in rejuvenating challenged neighborhoods by bringing a new family to the block, increasing property values and generating spending and taxes that support the neighborhood.

The positive input and enthusiastic responses I’ve been receiving are very reassuring that the Urban Renewal Project is on the “right” path.

Do you have a property you would like to Donate to Charity in Chicago?

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the federal tax code allows individuals and businesses to make noncash contributions to qualifying charities and to claim deductions for these contributions on their tax returns. Gifts of donated property, clothing, and other noncash items have long been an important source of revenue for many charitable organizations and a popular deduction for taxpayers.

Added Benefits¹ to Donating Property right Now!

  1. No more property taxes:  Yes, property taxes can be a deduction. But, paying property taxes is an ongoing outlay of cash and most likely any property tax deduction would be more than off set by the deduction you’ll receive from donating your property before your next tax bill is due.
  2. No more upkeep costs: Chicago’s stiffer penalties and stricter requirements on owners to maintain their properties have substantial raised the cost just for upkeep, especially for vacant houses.
  3. Keeping even more money in your Bank account: Along with No more property taxes and No more upkeep costs, you’ll be able to rid yourself of the cost of insurance and utilities also.
  4. Best market value: Not unless you plan to make property improvements or hoping for some big upswing in market value, than best market value for donating your property is most likely right now, before any more depreciable wear-and-tear occurs.
